How Advanced Mobility Africa collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use AutoHub Academy and related services.
Who we are
Advanced Mobility Africa (“Advanced Mobility”, “we”, “us”) operates the Advanced Mobility AutoHub Academy digital training platform and related enrolment, support, and certification services.
For data protection purposes, Advanced Mobility Africa is the data controller for personal information described in this policy, unless we state otherwise in a separate agreement with your organisation.
What this policy covers
This policy applies to visitors and users of our website, landing pages, enrolment flows, learner hub, organisation portal, certificate verification, and forms such as organisation inquiries and careers interest submissions.
It does not cover third-party websites linked from our platform, including Electude learning content hosted on Electude systems or social media platforms.
Personal data we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Identity and contact details: name, email address, phone number, organisation, role, and country.
- Enrolment and programme data: pathway selections, learner references, cohort details, practical booking preferences, and support messages.
- Payment-related data: transaction references and payment status from Paystack. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Learning and certification data: progress indicators, completion status, assessment outcomes, and certificate verification codes we issue.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and security logs needed to operate and protect the service.
- Communications: records of email, WhatsApp, or support correspondence where you contact us.
Why we use your data
We process personal data where necessary to:
- Provide training enrolment, account access, learner support, and certification services you request.
- Respond to organisation inquiries, careers interest submissions, and pre- or post-enrolment support requests.
- Process payments and maintain financial and audit records.
- Meet legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.
- Improve platform reliability, security, and service quality.
- Send service-related notices. Marketing messages are sent only where permitted and with appropriate consent where required.
International users and transfers
Our services are operated from Kenya and may be accessed across Africa and internationally. Where data is transferred outside Kenya, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards consistent with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019 and applicable international requirements such as the EU/UK GDPR where relevant to our users.
How long we keep data
We retain personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes above, including enrolment records, certification evidence, financial reconciliation, dispute handling, and legal compliance. Retention periods vary by data type and contractual obligations with organisations.
Your rights
Under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019, and where applicable under other laws, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) in Kenya.

Security
We use administrative, technical, and organisational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data we handle. No online service can guarantee absolute security; please use strong credentials and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
Children
Our services are intended for learners enrolled through institutions or individuals who can enter a lawful training agreement. Where minors participate through schools or TVET programmes, enrolment is managed by the responsible organisation.
